09's nhd reflection:Naasir Williams

This year for NHD I chose to do Dwight Eisenhower a huge change from last year. Last year i did The Black Mafia of Philadelphia. Once again i chose to do a documentary, The reason that I chose to do a documentary was because I’m very good with computers and I thought it would be kind of fun to create a documentary for the first time. In my past I created exhibits and they didn’t look very good. If I chose to do a paper I would have been too stressed. This year i used a program called Final Cut Pro, along with imovie. I only used final cut for a couple scenes in my documentary.

Dwight David Eisenhower , nicknamed "Ike", was a General of the Army in the United States Army and U.S. politician, who served as the thirty-fourth President of the United States . During the Second World War, he served as Supreme Commander of the Allied forces in Europe, with responsibility for planning and supervising the successful invasion of France and Germany in 1944–45. In 1951, he became the first supreme commander of NATO. His leadership helped turn the tide of World War II. He rode his military success all the way to the White House.I learned alot about eisenhower during this proces, i became very interested and now i look at eisenhower as a model of success.

The problems that i had with this project were very little. I had a lot of technical with my computer but they were quickly solved. my voice overs were rushed, basically i started doing them at the last minute. i also video taped myself witch came out as not a good idea. This year for the first time i moved on to the next round, I'm so happy about my success. I have to make a lot of changes and fix a lot and I'm going to do so. Hopefully i will go to nationals.
